Delta IV launches GOES-P at sunset by Ben_Cooper on Flickr.
Via Flickr: A Delta 4 rocket, 21 stories tall and packing 1.1 million pounds of thrust, launched the GOES-P weather satellite for NASA & NOAA on March 4 at 6:57pm EST, 33 minutes after sunset. Above, a multiple-exposure captures the launch in time-lapse and the smoke trail lit by the afterglow of sunset at high altitude. The gap is the space between the pictures.

The last picture was something coming down, here’s something going up.
