Rare Pictures From the Dawn of NASA Spaceflight

I think it’s cute how big magazines like National Geographic are finally noticing things that w’eve been discussing for weeks. They should really hire us all. We’d be a great editorial team.

Most definitely. And I always feel a surge of geek pride when LIFE spotlights some NASA-themed photos with the headline “Previously-Unseen Pictures!!!!”, and all of the photos had appeared on Tumblr about 4 months earlier.

So, are we hipsters because we knew about them before other people?

Yes.
